The GOLDOSK Journey

A delightful Sunday morning in the spring of 2010 marked the beginning of a new venture for a friend and me. We decided to embark on a healthy 2-kilometer walk towards the hills of Isparta. As we contemplated ways to make this activity more enjoyable and inclusive, the idea of turning it into a regular weekend event took root.

This simple decision evolved into the formation of a community of like-minded individuals aspiring to lead a healthy life intertwined with nature. The goal was not just to exercise but to explore and safeguard the natural wonders of our city. With more than 95 members and thousands of Facebook likes, the Lakeland Nature Sports and Hobby Club, also known as GOLDOSK, gained momentum. Our mission extended beyond Isparta, aiming to foster a culture of outdoor activities such as trekking, hiking, climbing, water sports, winter sports, photography, and music in Lakeland city and surrounding districts.

GOLDOSK quickly became an active and enjoyable organization, hosting over 100 completed activities. Recognized by the International Federation of Popular Sports (IVV) and officially invited to IVV’s 12th Nature and Popular Sports Games in Antalya, the club solidified its status as a prominent nature sports group.

Discovering Nearby Beauties

Despite residing in Isparta for over 30 years, I never truly appreciated the natural beauty of the region until the last one and a half years Qatar’s Journey. What were once merely green and brown areas on the city’s map became our cherished destinations.

On Sundays, instead of sleeping in, we chose to stroll along dirt roads, inhaling the scents of thyme and pine forests. The allure of spring flowers at dawn attracted more participants each week, turning our two-person treks into adventures for tens. Our diverse group included officers, businessmen, writers, professors, workers, retirees, and people ranging from 10 to 70 years old Private Tours Bulgaria Varna.

We formed deep connections with friends who became integral to our Sunday routine. Regardless of generational differences, we met without fail at the GOLDOSK building next to the huge plane tree within Isparta Teraspark facilities, knowing that another exciting activity awaited us.
